School dreams are normal???

I don't have a national statistic to back up my claim, but I do believe that dreams regarding school are more common when a starting a new school. I also believe that it is completely okay that they are very weird.

Now, maybe I believe that it is okay to have weird dreams about school just before returning to school because I have been having weird dreams recently. Couple that with a lack of sleep and an attempt to get on a school-like schedule and I really think it is relatively expected that I should be having crazy dreams.

Having these weird "returning to school" dreams has been rather welcome and refreshing. My most recent jaunt into the ether was going to be odd, right from the get go. With stress of juggling my personal life, work and familial obligations; returning to school should seem like the least of my concerns. Especially since I just Graduated from my Associate's Degree program. I have only taken the summer off.

Last night I had taken an over the counter sleeping aid. I don't take sleeping aids, with the exception of when I was hospitalized. After how I felt upon waking I don't think I'll be in a rush to go out and try another. 45 mins after taking this pill I was out.

My dreams were all over the place, but I was impressed that it covered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. From a landscaping perspective, the university I was going to wasn't the school I'll be at next week, yet I had the same schedule.

Not this kind of Mannequin
This kind of Mannequin
Monday went alright, Tuesday I overslept and missed my history class,Wednesday was a complete mess. the interactions were very weird. People in the land of Nod did things that real people just don't do. Interactions between myself and others generally don't involve games of chance with body parts used for chips. Not that this was a horror movie kind of dream, the body parts kinda snapped off like mannequins.

Okay, so I guess it's only different kind of horror movie. The dream included a house from previous dreams that I refer to as the fancy house. Apparently I haven't been to the fancy house while asleep enough and it had fallen into quite some disrepair. During the fixing up of this fancy house there was a cameo appearance by a strange pumpkin-orange dog.

Do you have weird dreams that seem to sync up with what's going on in your real life? Am I normal for having these?
